Ghosts and a City

突然，地理學整個變得浪漫多了（不過，其實地理學本來就很不切實際又無

可救藥的浪漫啊，別被小王子裡那無聊的地理學者給騙了）。有些地理學家

，其實骨子裡是浪漫的作家吧？而許多浪漫的藝術家，其實都是地理學者？

地理學在這些老師眼裡，變得羅曼蒂克起來，卡爾維諾其實是個地理學家，

而佛洛伊德夢的解晰，其實是個地理學方法論另一種詮釋的開始。



都市空間是個夢的集合體，從不同的資源中蒐集著，然後呈現在不同／同樣

的空間裡，有好夢，有壞夢，有期望，也有恐懼。就因為是集合體，所以在

研究方法或是都市空間中，對立與多元本來就是存在滴。



若是好夢，在都市中式呈現著一個怎樣的夢境呢？由不同資本堆積的夢境？

不同國度堆積的夢境？或是由各種不同的夢，再去創造的一個夢的舞台？是

美國夢？或是布萊爾試圖創造的用來對抗美國夢的英國夢呢？



若是恐懼，又是怎樣的一個恐懼的空間呢？是一個看著無物／鬼魂們的

Ground Zero空間嗎？就算，整個都市是鬼魂們的舞台，那被選來盤旋於都

市中的那些鬼魂，也各自代表著不同的記憶，不同的歷史，在這個無知或未

知的舞台，連結著過去／現代／未來。那些被選擇來游蕩於各地的鬼魂啊，

保存（或是創造著）都市的記憶。



Just telling the time, representing the history, preserving a kind of truth.  

We, just are like Hamlet.

Looking at his father, remebering the trauma.



The ghost of his father may not really be a ghost. 

Instead, just a reminder reminding trauma in his life.



We, are Hamlet. 

From the heritages, the ghosts haunting in cities, we look at, read 

and then memorize the memories/history/stories. 

Whether they are chosen or not. 

Whether they are made by someone else or not. 



結論：眼睛裡看的是Jane Jacobs，但是，骨子裡想的還是Zukin。
